The EZ-SMD Component Library was designed in 2004 to organize SMT/SMD components and make them easily accessible to engineers and technicians within my own small electronic design company.  We originally had our components stored on 7” reels in drawers or cut some of the reel tape in lengths to store in pink-poly bags at each work bench for easier access.  The pink-poly bags were quite cumbersome and if the tape was removed from the Sharpie-Labeled bag the component would be hard to identify, thus wasting more time. We decided to design a mold for the dispensers and have them sit on the bench shelf. This eventually consumed valuable bench shelf space, so we designed a rack to attach under-shelf to free-up needed space for working and test equipment.  We later added features to the rack design so it could be stacked on top of one another as well as mounted to a wall.   The system worked so well that years later we decided to offer it to the electronic industry as well as electronic hobbyists. Component Storage Innovations was created in 2017 with the goal of designing products to organize and make efficient processes in electronic assembly. We hope you try the EZ=SMD Component Library and enjoy the clean, easy access to components we enjoyed for many years.
